How to find out the age of your golf cart batteries
Just a little tid bit of info I think for those who dont know how to check the age of your batteries. Looking down on the battery post, right next to it or on top of the post is what appears to be a code., e.g. A-7.
A would stand for the first month of the year Jan. The 7 would be the year, thus Jan. 07 |

Would M-7 be March 2007 or May 2007? Would J-7 be January, June or July, 2007? Can make a difference if you are looking for warranty expiration or pro-rated replacement value.

B-Feb C-Mar D-Apr . . . I only know this is true for Trojan batteries as they are the kind I own. Not sure all manufacturers stamp the date batteries are manufactured? I have read for instance some have a sticker on the battery. Last edited by ajbrown; 03-21-2011 at 08:26 AM. |
