Default Can one get a low speed vehicle in gas or electric?

While golfing the other day I was told that one can only get a low speed capable golf cart in electric only. He said it was the rules or FL law???

So is it true? If yes what is the reasoning because on the surface such a distinction doesn't seem to make any sense.

Gas is now OK. Old law was for electric only.

Default Hmmm!

Are you sure?....Questioned local police and they said that electric only!...Reason: Environmentally friendly, gas NOT!

Another example of how the 'authorities' are not always in the know. Might be some training update is in order

Just like they used to always say "we don't recommend seat belts in golf carts". Until 10 deaths from people hitting their heads when ejected somehow 'changed' their mind. Please.

Law in effect this past January.

Both actually come in low speed. Just press the pedal more gently!

Lol. Everyone's a comedian.

Glad to hear one can now get street legal gas carts. One just might be in my future.
