Default new doors

When we finally get to buy a house in The Villages I would like to change out the front door to one with beveled glass and beading. Is it permissable to change the front door or does the homeowner have to keep the same style door that was on the house originally?

Hi Sunny, whatcha doing on the forum so early?? See ya in chat later!!

Hope this answers your question. There is a company here in TV that uses the existing doors and puts in beveled glass with designs in it and then puts the door back on. They also do whatever you want to the side panels whether one side or two and they have many, many designs to select from. Most of the people here use them. I haven't yet, cause I'm waiting for the stock market to recover..... geeze, that's not too encouraging is it....

I believe it's called Entry Point, located in the shopping area on 441 near Spanish Springs. They run ads daily in the Sun.

We just had it done. In our case the front door had to be replaced, as the leaded glass inserts were too narrow to fit in the void left by the original glass.

Full height sidelites (2) and fiberglass front door with full height insert cost around $1350 installed by Entry Point mentioned in dgammon6's post. It makes such a difference in the appearance, the light and the privacy.

Love it! We now have great light in the entry. The firm does a great job and only takes 1 1/2 hrs~~~~they take your door off and they put it in their van so you can watch them put the glass in. You pick out the pattern you want at Entry Point because they have door samples and then they will order it for you. No money down as payment is received after door is installed. Price was around $650.00 installed and we have a Courtyard Villa. Well worth the price. Our Villa does not have sidelights.
