My brother also past away five years ago at the young age of 49...he was my Irish twin (11 months between us). I miss him and I would like to think of him dancing from cloud to cloud...sure wish he could be dancing here with me. But he is always in my heart and I know he is watching over me. Isn't it wonderful Quirky that we were blessed to have had them in our lives! My heart smiles when I think of him! You have a terrific day!

And for you too, dear Tainsley. Cloud to cloud. That's lovely.

That really is lovely. And there are so many smiles and tender moments to cherish. Thanks you, Gracie, Tainsley, and PTurner!

Thank you for sharing your love of your brother.

I too have lost two sisters, I still miss them very much. Years ago I went to a friends funeral service, the priest said, "To know grief is to have known love". Hearing this has given me the courage to continue to love, even when the pain of grief can be halting.

Thank you again for sharing your life with us. God Bless you.

Thank you very much - I know we have all known loss, and it is with the help of friends and memories that we celebrate what has been, grieve and move on, and hopefully live our lives in a way that honors those we love. I really believe that love never dies.

Quirky, I am sure the memories of your brother give you some release from your loss. I lost a beloved brother-in-law of 52 years two years ago this month, and while it was hard, I have great memories of wonderful times together. That is basically all any of us can leave, so we need to make lasting memories for those who we will ultimately leave behind.

Default Twin Brother

I lost my twin brother 12 years ago. I miss him. He was the real golfer in the family. He was the long ball hitter and had all the trophies. I took up golf 5 years ago. Once in a great while I may hit a second ball. That one is for him.

Hi Quirky, I have a younger and an older brother, and cannot imagine them not being in my life, so I am so sorry that you lost your brother. I hope your sadness today was also full of blessed memories; brothers are so special; we're lucky to have them.

I remember when I was going through the loss of a baby, my brothers would call me almost every night just to ask how I was; and how I loved them for that.

We share each others' entire lives, and we help each other remember the things we forgot.

Quirky3:

I am sorry for your the loss of your brother and I hope you enjoy this poem.

Remember Me
Remember me with smiles and laughter,
For that's the way I'll remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
Then don't remember me at all.
~ Michael Landon
"

Remember Me" poem was taken from the Little
House on the Prairie episode "Remember Me"
written by Michael Landon.

your brother must have led an honorable life to be buried with ceremony at Arlington... you must be very proud of him....may God rest his soul.
