I was aboard the Tarawa for 3 Deployments or West Pac tours and Desert Shield and Storm 1990-1991. Was in the Marine Corps. Alot of Good Friends in the Navy I worked with. The Ship Supply officer was a great friend. Got to know the Command Master Chief really good.

Use to be nice seeing LHA-1 at Coronado.

We are getting a larger Marine group on Tarawa Forum. The main Marine is Gunny, (Keith). There seems to be more interest with Tarawa Marines attending the 2016 reunion. We also have a Tarawa Top Gun shooting contest. Keith is getting ready to start an online shooting contest on the forum, too. Check out the shooting forum on the forum.
