Default I updated my Iphone - help!

I updated my Iphone 6 plus tonight and now I have these grey boxes all covering my screen saver, some have icons on them. Any way to turn all this off and get back to my normal home screen?

Go to the AT&T store...they'll sort you out. Or make the trip to an apple store.

Try taking the battery out for a couple of minutes. Possibly it may reset. No good deed goed unpunished.

This happened to me when updating to IOS 10.0.2. There was a grey screen with a note on it like for iTunes. I had a contact number on my locked screen in case I lost the phone but this awful screen covered it up. Honest to goodness, I don't know what I did but fiddled with it for hours it seems like. Changed things in settings and other places but somehow it went away and I don't know how I did it. This probably doesn't help except to let you know you may not have to go all the way to the store to fix it. I did google the problem and tried some of the suggestions people had. Good luck.

The iOS users group meets this Tuesday at 1:30pm at Colony Cottage. It is run by several very knowledgeable folks who are kind enough to help solve iPhone/iPad problems. They will be able to help you.

Try going into Settings:Notifications and look for the type of things that grey boxes represent. Tap on those and turn Notifications off.

Press down the power and home buttons together. This will reboot the phone and may help

Ok thanks all for the recommendations. I started fiddling with it and figured out they are called widgets. If you scroll to the bottom of the widget page you can click edit. Then on the left there is a red minus button so you can remove them one by one (there were 6 different ones). They are gone now! So glad!
