Default Problem syncing files on windows 10

Hi:
I have a new windows computer. I synced my files on onedrive. When I click the cloud icon on the taskbar it says my files are synched. When I go to the desk explorer and look at the files I can see they are all there and there are icons there showing each photo and little green circles with check marks to show they are synced. The only problem is I click on the files and photos and nothing will open they just sit there and won't open. Any ideas? I do have another computer sharing these same files and I tried turning that one off but that didn't help.
