Default car mechanic recommendation

Need a trust worthy mechanic that will do work on a Subaru. I’m not too sure about the local dealer's service department.

If you do a search, you would probably find Accu-tech in Oxford on 301 the most recommended. They are right in front the driving range northbound on the rightside just south of 466. Others have asked this same question and here are many of the responses, this will save you a lot of time.

Since the link to a page full of threads keeps failing, here are links to several separate threads for mechanics from the past year.

Local auto repair shop

Need recommendation for car repair services

Where can we go for minor car service?

Car mechanic you trust?

I'd recommend Ed Rankin, Bucksport Maine. I would have no problem leaving him a blank, signed check for work on my vehicles. I got burnt here by a local repair/tire service that has been mentioned in this forum a number of times. I also got an estimate of $3500 to do an alignment on my 2004 Titan pick-up because of rust. Put a set of tires on it and drove it back to Maine. It cost me less than $200. Including alignment. Thanks for letting me vent on your post. Good luck finding a shop.

I like Michael's in Fruitland Park. If you go east on 466a and go through the traffic light just before 441 and take your first right, he is in the blue building on the left. Good work, honest, reasonable and knowledgeable.

Exclamation Suggestion

Agree with Wildwood Tire on 44. They were fair and good.

2 friends have used Richard's on Progress St off of Rd 44 towards Leesburg and been very happy I don't have a number or know if they work on Subaru. I know the price is right and the service was excellent

The service dept at Bill Bryan Subaru (Leesburg) is friendly, professional, and fair. I hated leaving our wonderful dealership in Annapolis where I had bought 2 Outbacks, but was relieved to find equally excellent service here.
However, I tried to deal with them on a trade for a new Outback and got nowhere. I ended up buying a new car at Don Mealey Sport Subaru in Orlando for $3400+ less than at Bill Bryan! Can't say enough about my experience at Sport Subaru.I just wish it wasn't 52 miles away, or I'd go there for service since everyone is so much fun to deal with.

I just purchased a Mazda from Don Mealey Sport Mazda. I agree best prices. You have to get away from The Villages to get a good price.
