Default Great Lakes Carpet & Tile

Has anyone transacted business with Great Lakes Carpet & Tile? Does anyone have the name of a good independent carpet installer

Yes, we used them to carpet our house several months ago, from a former installers viewpoint, they were pro's., clean, neat and professional, also moved all our furniture.
We had 18 inch cermac tile thru out the house, they have a new method now of installing without damaging the tile putting down the tack strip along the walls, they now use a special glue gun, which holds like super glue.
Insist on power stretching, no wrinkles ever for the life of the carpet, they powerstretched mine.
I highly recommend them, we used the shop in Lady Lake on 441.

Ask for Adam Evans/salesman

I used them for both tile and laminate. Great jobs and good prices as well. I also used them for carpet cleaning before changing from carpet.

Default Floor Masters

We called Great Lakes to have someone come to our home for some ideas on taking up some carpet and putting in tile. The salesperson was not very helpful at all. She kept e-mailing pictures of the wrong information. After about six different e-mails,we went to Floor Masters in Wildwood. Then the owner of Great Lakes called and wanted us to come and see him and was sorry about what happened and wanted to see us so that he could see that we got a great deal. When we went to see him, he was over three thousand dollars higher than Floor Masters. We went with Floor Masters and had them put in hardwood Floors Their installers were very professional. Their address is us 301,WildWood,Fl. phone #352-748-7444 Ask for Jeff

Default Floor Masters

Forgot to mention, not only did they do a great job,but they also arranged to have the carpet they took up delivered to my sister-in law and installed at a very reasonable price. She lives in The Villages. The carpet was new, we had the hardwood floor put in before we move to The Villages hopefully by end of this year. Purchased the house in Hadley three years ago, will be visiting in May.

I used Great Lakes and was completely satisdfied with the work, the workers, the price, and the quality of the carpet.

And yes, I did shop around.

Thank you all for your quick response. it helps us to a quicker decision
For those of you who replaced carpet with another type of flooring wood, tile were you pleased with replacing the carpet with tile, wood? We have been going back and forth with should we relpace carpet with wood, tile or carpet.. Our home was built with tile everywhere except the bedrooms

We had exceptional service from Great Lakes. They got the lot number of our tile before we closed and used it to finish off the bedrooms.

I really wanted wood/laminate but Mr. Katezbox wanted tile. He felt stronger about this than I, so we have tile. They also tiled our kitchen backsplash with tumbled stone and tiles, as well as the floor of our lanai. They were professional, clean and did a fantastic job.

We just had our carpet removed and tile installed by Floormasters. The pricing and installation were very good. Highly recommended.

We had nothing but grief from Great Lakes when we built our house 10 years ago and ended up having to replace the carpet. I had to write a letter of complaint to The Villages before anything was done.

We used Great Lakes for carpet & tile. They did a great job. They sent a guy back 2 days after to be sure we were happy with the installation. He found a flaw in the carpet and he sent the installers back 2 days later to tear out the new carpet and install new carpet.

Could not be happier with them.

My vote goes to Floor Masters. Had to call Great Lakes back 4 times to clean the hardwood floors after installation.

For a great installer, contact Eddie of E&J 407/375-6627.
