Default DIY Kitchen Project

DIY project. Our house is an Iris model with an open kitchen. We recently enhanced the kitchen island by adding beadboard wainscot. Three pictures attached, showing each panel of the island.
Cost of materials approximately $350.00 plus paint and misc. supplies.

I agree! A nice contrast to the dark cabinets.

Great looking job Jim! These bar areas often get all banged up from feet hitting them when folks sit on the stools. Classy way to solve the problem. Nice work!

Beyond looking great, you are very talented with those mitred corners. Not an easy task!

Thank you all for the kind words. We are perfectionists. It took a lot of fitting and a long time but the end result is worth the effort.
