Default Frost Damage on Flax Lillies (Dianellas)

OK, it's been a cold winter. My dozen or so flax lillies are nipped and brown.

I can't seem to find if I trim these all the way back (ie: BEHEAD them, they're only a foot high) and they'll come back up? That's my guess, but maybe someone out there knows better.

Thanks in advance.

Well John,
The Home Depot Garden Club says to wait until new growth appears, then cut off the dead, likely around the end of February. Good luck, good lookin'
