We will be @ our home next week & we need a good landscaper, the one we have doesn't do a good job & don't return any phone calls. Anyone with any help ?

Call Jonathan McKinney from Mckenny's Landscape Service's..I have had him for 2 plus years..absolutely reliable and very responsive to the few telehone inquiries I made....$55 a month..352-259-0905. He has grass cuttting and landscape crews!

I have heard of many others who may be a couple of bucks cheaper, but then 3-6 months later they are stuck looking for someone to cut their grass!

Do you want landscaping or grass cutting? Few do both and it seems the ones who do do both are iffy at best.

For cutting, I highly recommend D & J Baker -- 638-2400. They're good and, more importantly, reliable. Their prices are reasonable. I know a few people on TOTV who use them and all seem to be very happy with them.

For landscaping, I'd suggest you talk to Rupert Cross. He really does love plants, is knowledgeable and quite reasonable. You can reach him at 406-8814. l2rdhd recently used him and Rupert did a nice job of cleaning up a major mess. Besides straight landscaping, he does trimming and the like.

For weeding, I'll happily volunteer my services. I'm pretty good, very reliable and quite reasonable.

Right now I can only give a negative recommendation. Don't use Mike's Maintenance. We have used them for 2 years and have had nothing but problems. The weeds got out of hand when we were up north and the grass was usually too high before it got cut. Also the edging was not very good. Finally we had enough and decided not to renew our contract. Howvever, several months after they tried to bill us anyway. Turns out they have fine print that says you must call or write to cancel so even if you don't sign a contract they have you over a barrel. Luckily, we did call but they conveniently forgot. These people can't be trusted.

I, too, would recommend the Bakers for grass cutting. Have used them for 2 years with no problems. Show up on schedule and don't rip you off. Call them at 352-638-2400. They've posted an ad on TOTV.

For landscaping, we've had success with L.W.V. Landscape. Call Lisa at 352-636-8850.

Must call Jeff at RJ Lawn Service at 352-572-4718, he does NOT use large equipment, which makes a hugh difference in the look of your lawn, and keeps me posted with issues when I am out of town. A service that is not expected but greatly appreicated!!! He's a keeper

Are you looking for a landscaper or a lawn man? I just had some landscaping and pavers done by Paradise Landscape & Pavers they did a very good job. They have a add on TOTV. Be careful I talked with a few other people and they did not have experience that Paradise did. They could not answer my questions or give me references of jobs done.

I use Jeff at Sunscape Lawn and Landscaping. I got the recommendation from TOTV and they are very good. I had some landscaping done and they also do all the maintenance. Very reasonable and dependable too! And NO contract. Call Jeff and meet with him. 353-223-7850

I used Paradise Landscape & Pavers they do it all and sub nothing out. They have been in TV working for along time call Tim or Gretchen at 352-551-9743.

I called Jeff at Sunscape, talked to him and we agreed to meet. Called him twice to arrange a meet and he never returned either call. Can't say more than that.
