Default window boxes

Going to plant some beautiful flowers in window boxes. Any suggestions?

Hula...Last year I planted Vinca in my front porch pots and it did beautifully and lasted a long, long time. I just planted more a couple of weeks ago and it is just blooming so pretty.

What direction do the window boxes face? There are some beautiful ones if you google window boxes, but if they face south or west, be careful to choose plants that can take the heat in July/August.

CFrance - thanks for that share - those window boxes are absolutely fabulous. Considering adding some to my log house and have confirmed after seeing that post self watering are the only way to go!
