Has anyone gone to Dr. John Cottam? He is one of several Board Certified Drs listed in our insurance plan, so would like any comments. Thanks.

I have been going to him for 4 years. Since he is the only Dermatologist I have ever been to, I have nothing to compare him to, but the does a fine job for my little moles and things. He told me to start wearing a hat, which I hate, but I just don't have any hair up there anymore. It all slid down on my back.

Is he eager to biopsy every little mole? I had to switch Drs when my school switched insurers, and I ended up with a "hack & slash" doc who biopsied at least one thing every time I went. (all Negative) I was very relieved to return to Doc #1 when I was eligible for Medicare.

So far, he has never biopsied anything. He just freezes them off. He is a very nice DR with a nice staff too.

Thanks for your input. I'll give them a call.
