Default Freedom & CarePlus Advantage plans

Has anybody had used Freedom or CarePlus Advantage insurance outside Florida? Both plans only cover emergency outside Florida. I would like to know if Hospital will receive any of these insurances in case of emergency.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

I think you answered your own question. The insurance coverage does not extend outside Florida except to cover emergency treatment (i.e. to fix you just enough to be able to travel back to Florida to get real treatments).

I looked into Freedom last year and the cost was lower than other plans. However, the plan did not have the doctors I wanted to go to and I felt it wasn't worth saving a few pennies and not received the level of care I would expect.

I'm not saying it's bad but I just didn't feel comfortable so I went with UHC HMO Plan 1. No referrals needed to go to a specialists, was my prime motivator. Also had a passport program for care outside of Florida.

Going to a SHINE meeting, is the best way to decide what plan fits your needs.
