Default Medicare Complete 2 Villages

Is anyone else looking at this new Medicare Advantage Plan. Although I have no plans to get into the Villages Health system the plan sound pretty decent to me. I'll be on Medicare 3/1/17. I'm in pretty good shape at the moment and take no prescription drugs at all. To many choices. Thanks in advance.

IMHO, talk to SHINE before you make your final decision, there have been several threads about Medicare and supplemental versus advantage plans, so I am not going to get into details here, but SHINE was extremely useful to us. We decided to stay with Medicare and Supplemental, and I am in great health.

I have been on the Medicare Advantage Plan for 4 years and love it. United Healthcare has been great. No monthly premiums. Co-pays are $20 per doctor visit or $50 for Specialist. I think it depends on how healthy you are. I only go twice a year for a check-up. My prescriptions are covered as well and are reasonable. I had one that was expensive $75, but I found this GoodRX coupon. I didn't think it would really work .I asked the Publix pharmacy (which is where I always get my drugs) and they said no. So, I took it to Walgreens and they took it and it only cost me $34. Again, it all depends on your health needs, but I've been very happy with Medicare Advantage and yes, I've been with the Villages Health system and have been happy with them as well.

It's a great plan. Go to the medicare store in Lake Sumter Landing. You would not be disappointed with the premiums or the service. I have it and it's excellent.

We're starting our third year on the Villages Health system advantage plan and it has been good. We're very glad we switched to it.

My wife has some significant health issues and the Village Health system has done a good job of managing her care across hospitals, services, and doctors. No problem with access to PCP and specialists.

Overall we feel we are getting better health care with Villages Health than we had before we moved here...

But, as always, YMMV (your milage may vary).

Medicare Advantage plans are geared for people who are basically healthy. Some people who suddenly have had serious medical problems would disagree as they prefer Medicare plus a supplement. Everyone has to decide for themselves what plan best fits their needs.

I've had MA plans for seven years. I have been in TV Health Care system for two years and like the way they do things. Appointments are kept on time and my medication get delivered to my mailbox. No fuss, no muss.

I personally like the fact TV HCS give you an half hour appointment and never feel rushed when I am at the doctors office. I feel I am receiving better care than when I was in the northeast and had a ten minute appointment.
