Default Need dentist without xrays

Does anyone know of a dentist who will accept patients without requiring xrays?

My wife and I go to different dental practices, neither of which required previous x-rays, if that's what you are referring to.

Not just previous xrays, no xrays. I cannot do bitewing xrays without gagging. My dentist up north just did panoramic xrays every few years which do not require them to put anything in my mouth.

Do you have a recent set of full mouth x-rays from a previous dentist?

I see where you are coming from. If you do not have a recent panx then I am sure any new dentist will want to do one.

Why not find a new dentist who will do panoramic xrays here? You probably can't really have work done without some type of x-ray unless you bring them with you

One of my neighbors suggested Palm Ridge so I gave them a call and they said they would use my last xray from up north. They seemed very accommodating.

Good Luck, Dentist knows it's money in the bank taking x-ray after x-ray. And besides they want their own x-rays. Another thing we as the owner and paid for the x-rays should have copy. after all, it's OUR health records, not theirs. By law they should have to give us all copies when we leave the building. But no, all our personal information are kept for anybody to dig through the files that's associated with the business .

Not everyone is out to screw people over. Certain procedures are needed by people in order to do their jobs correctly. And I've never had a dentist who didn't forward my x-rays to another office.

Plus OP says he has his former x-rays.

Digital xray are now the norm, no need for xray tabs inserted in the mouth. Panoramic is not the best for detecting caries.

You will probably have to sign a waiver.

Digital xrays still require the detector to be inserted into the mouth. The OP has gag issues. I know exactly what he/she is referring to as I find bite wings "uncomfortable". A panx does not require a detector to be inserted into the mouth but is not optimal.

I was informed that digital x-rays can be e-mail to another dentist.

Every dentist down in TV that I ran across, wants to do x-rays first before they even suggest any course of treatment.

The dentist I have been going to, want to charge several thousand dollars instead of doing a regular cleaning that I requested.

The search for a honest dentist goes on and on..... IMHO

I go to Dr. Forrest Jerkins in Fruitland Park, since moving here in 2014. He did not do x-rays upon learning I had them done in Virginia (where we moved from) less than a year prior to my first appointment with him. His staff ordered the X-rays from my old dentist practice. Secondly, if you havent had X-rays done in a year, other than a manual exam, how is the dentist supposed to know the state of your teeth? My second cleaning, i had the pano done, as it was time. My point being is that like another poster stated, not every doctor/dentist is out to screw you, and the sky is not falling.

I highly recommend Dr. Jerkins.

I'm happy with them.
