Default Is it possible to make oral surgery a pleasant experience?

Dr. Ed Blanton and his staff in Leesburg certainly did. I had a wisdom tooth extracted Tuesday morning and they made it as much a non event as your mind can imagine. He is probably the most good natured surgeon I have ever met. His office and OR staff reflect his personality. The last thing I remember was him chuckling and saying "you won't care." The next thing I remember is him saying while he chuckled again (as he washed his hands) "piece of cake."

Nobody likes to go through this experience, but, Dr. Blanton, you are a joy. It was a pleasure to have you stick your hands in my mouth. I seem to be just fine today, less than 24 hours after what use to be hospital surgery. I sure don't miss the "good old days."

And, to that extremely attractive nurse, who I asked after the surgery if she would come home and take care of me for the next few weeks, I was serious. ;D (Don't tell my wife....please)

I had periodontal surgery with Dr. Zaner. Also very gentle. It was a good experience.

I've heard that Dr. Blanton is an ex-Army dentist.

Attractive nurses are definitely a PLUS.

Dr. Blanton, near Leesburg Airport, was great. Second molar extraction, no pain, done in seconds! Great personality, great dentist.
