Your name came up on Talk of the Villages about doggy sitting. Are you still doing sitting? If yes, are you available 6/3,4 & 5TH) OF JUNE - NEXT WEEK. I am happy to reciprocate if you have a furry friend. I am Debbie Schneider and I live near Brownwood. My little guy is a rescue about 2 and weighs about 15 lbs. Friendly & loves being with other dogs (he came from a home with 25 dogs!). He's well behaved and listens well. Thanks,

I've found many of the same documents wherever I look. As expected, there are some misspellings in names, and some dates aren't accurate, but I think I've found out about as much as I can from the various genealogy sites. I did find another clue from your suggestion though. Apparently my relative's daughter or her family placed the monument in the cemetery in Cincinnati and included his name on the monument there. His name is spelled Ernst or Ernest Elfrink, Elffering, or Elfering. The spelling on both his tombstone in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga and on the monument in Cincinnati is Ernest Elfering.

Have you done much research into Civil War soldiers? I know some people get really detailed in their searches and find out a lot more than just the basic government and church documents, but I am very new at this and I didn't even know about Ernest until a couple of months ago. My known ancestors came over much later than he did.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
My husband and I live in NY and plan on visiting. A little nervous about this whole idea. Did you go thru this and are you happy to be in the Village?

Hello! It was nice meeting you and your husband at Crispers yesterday. Thanks for making me feel so welcome!

I wanted to tell you that I found that Adobo seasoning -- just as I thought it might be, it was at Save-a-Lot in Wildwood on Rt. 301 near the Wildwood Post Office. I hope it's the same one; it has a red cap. I had looked online (I saw a 45 cents off coupon on their Web site - do you think I bothered to print it off? No, I did not. Wasn't sure I'd find the stuff. Oh well, next time!) and I saw that there are several versions with a red cap. Save-a-Lot only had one that I saw, and it was one with a red cap, so I'm hoping it's the same one that you like. If I'd had your phone number, I would have called you!

Hope to see you again sometime.
    Susan
