As stated if you go to villages for sale site it will be Village employee's only listing for new housing and most resales. There are few Realtors local listings by local realtors. Either way most will try to push you to their listings (cause they won't have to share the sales commission). I would make list of houses you want to look at call and make appointment or go to open houses. I had good luck with Greg Yoder form Village Properties listed by the villages (1-800-346-4556 if interested). He was very good to us didn't push us one way or the other. We made list what we wanted to look at and he showed us them. Found house within two days and closed in about 30 days with no problems.
If you haven't done the Life style visit I would take full advantage of that you only get that once and it takes at least week to get good feel for the villages. Get 6 ot 7 days with lots of freebie's including free golf cart to use.
