The link below takes you to a letter from the "National Association of Police Organizations, Inc." regarding law enforcements take on the deliberately designed half-time entertainment to glamorize attacks on law enforcement. Within the letter is this statement: "On the same night (re:Super Bowl) that hundreds of officers gave up their evenings with their own families to protect you and your players and fans, you honor them by promoting song and dance celebrating cop-killers".

I watched the halftime show and my personal take agrees with the NAPO's viewpoint. Rodger Goodell needs to have the guts to proclaim that though freedom of speech is our God given right, for these entertainers to high-jack the half-time show for their own protest was not appropriate and will not be allowed in future NFL venues.

I felt it was a disgrace. Should NEVER have been allowed during halftime. She (Bionce) and her group had asked for and received police escort and protection before the show....an embarrassment and disgraceful.

The movie and entertainment industry is clearly depicted in the HBO series Vinyl. It got such great reviews that i second guess myself and watched the pilot. Disgust is not a strong enough word to describe my reaction to this series. Its another series deleted from my DVR as was X Files, and Shades of Blue . This nation is in real trouble

Well people should look at history.

And there are still problems with some police being racist. This varies a great deal from community-to-community though.

My late brother Chuck's wife Grace is Jamaican-American so I have heard quite a bit about what it is to be Black in the US. This was an interracial marriage and they experienced quite a lot of prejudice even in the Villages from Caucasians and well as other African Americans. Grace was one of the suppliers of NAVY Seals when she was in the US Navy. She served her adopted country and still was met with racism as have her sons .

That's funny.

I took a course on Minorities in US Society at the University of Nevada, Reno and the most racist person there was a Prince of some kind from one of the Western African nations. The Professor vouched for the Prince's authenicity. He seemed to look down on African-Americans as being ancestors of slaves even though his ancestors were probably slavers.

One of the most racist people at the University of Minnesota Law School was a false friend I had there during my First Year of Law School. We shared the same first letter in out last name's H, so I was often sitting with him due to the sometime alphabetical seating in First Year Law School Classes of 50-100. It is easier for the Professor to learn the in-coming First Year Law Student's names. The man was/is African-American. One of the biggest mistakes I made in Law School was befriending this man.

It does go both ways is what I am trying to say.

"Should be looked at in context"? Oh, please. And I guess you think the same about the debacle of a performance that Kendrick Lamar did at the Grammy's? Both of them are nothing but two people that belong to a trashy ho/thug movement that promote nothing but violence against Law Enforcement Officer's.
