Golf carts with more leg room

We are looking at golf carts and so far they all seem to be a bit cramped with respect to leg room for the driver. My wife, while shorter than me, has long legs and also bad knees. The combination of the two make it very uncomfortable for her to put her foot on the accelerator pedal. Has anyone found a particular model that has more leg room than others? So far we have looked at Tomberlin, Yamaha, and EZ Go and they all seem to be equally cramped for her.

Leg Room

The Par Car salesman bragged that his product is the only one with an adjustable seat. You might try sitting in one of his models.

Friends of ours had the same issues. They purchased a STAR cart.

We have a club car and it seems to have more room than others. We tried others and I agree with you about the leg room. Tomberlin, although one of the nicest and strongest built, was one of the most cramped.

We also have a clubcar. My wife is disabled and has difficulty getting in and out of lower carts. the club car, with its adjustable seats and higher stance is perfect for her. they are not the cheapest carts but it sure serves our purpose well.

Leg Room

I have a LIDO LSV (built on an EZ Go chassis) that has adjustable seats, a tilt steering wheel, and turf type tires. It's for sale, so give me a call at 702-0089 if you are interested.

NJ - my husband is 6'4", and leg room was a big concern for us. But we were determined to get a gas cart, and know that Yamaha has the best gas engine. So we had the steering wheel tilted up. They are fixed steering wheels, so we had to have the service center do it. It was very inexpensive to have it done, and definitely worth it.

I think I read on another thread here that the new Polaris Breeze at TV Golf Cart stores also has an adjustable seat.

Yes, it does, but unfortunately, adjustable seats are only of use by those with short legs since when they are in their furthest back position they are the same as a non-adjustable seat. As it turns out, Polaris was one of the worst seats for people needing additional leg room.
