Sinkhole Photos: Ashland
June 19, 2012
Were they draining this area or is it a sinkhole issue? http://http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o...8/CIMG2068.jpg http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o...8/CIMG2069.jpg http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o...8/CIMG2071.jpg |
Wow!
Wow, that's just shocking! Hopefully those people didn't pay extra for a "water view"!

When they fill it in all the houses should run their hoses into pond and have their water bills waived for a month.
Seriously, that's pretty amazing! |

Homes on retention ponds do not guarantee there always will be water |
????
Is this the pond that people race their RC Boats? It doesn't look like it simply because I don't see the colored floating objects (don't know the proper name for them). Also am pleasantly surprised at the lack of debis on the pond bottom. Also someone just had to walk out, how did they know how stable the remaining bottom was, or are they just "KOO-KOO"?
Thanks for the pictures. |

Your paper work on pond views states "May or may not contain water."

Thanks for the pictures.[/QUOTE] I saw the footprints. There appeared to be only one set of prints so one individual had a good look down into the hole. One would have to assume it was an employee of the developer ... but maybe not. Nevertheless, it would be a good idea to have a few no trespassing signs placed in that area as with such a hole there may be a possible element of danger .... especially with all of the grandkids visiting at this time of the year. |
Thanks for the pictures
Thanks for the pictures. I am unable to drive by at the moment and it is nice to see to get some perspective.
Let us know if you see surveyors there and fill being brought in. Looks like several new houses could be squeezed in  |
You have to wonder how stable the ground is

Strong Stench
Rode by the dry Ashland lake (with the sink hole) in a golf cart today.
Unbelievable stench. Feel sorry for those living there. A biologist could probably weigh in on the plant life and dry bottom of the pond adding to the odor. I know much of it is the dead fish. |
