Met the owner of Vics Embers & asked him what kind of steaks did you serve ,he said,"choice, the community will not pay the price of prime"

Unless you've tasted a good aged prime cut--you haven't experience a real steak

So do I and I love chain restaurants too. You can always know what you will get. Not a fan of the country clubs.

Still BEST steaks round are at Lopez Legacy 13 years here and each time perfect. Other than that at home only Weber "charcoal" grill. Just did Publix Ribeye's this weekend they were awesome with some grilled asparagus from Markets of Marion that was $1 for a HUGE bunch!

By looking @ some of the local restaurants mentioned for the best steaks--its very obvious ,that a lot of residents here have never experience a really fine steak--Ruby Tuesday steaks are the equivalent of some truck stops, take the MSG out of Longhorn, the Outback and most chains you have shoe leather--the key to a junk steak, is when you see steak sauce of the table.

A waiter would throw you out of Peter Lugers if you asked for steak sauce.

Peter Luger makes and serves their own steak sauce, but you should put it on the sliced tomatoes & onions.

Peter Luger's not only serves steak sauce, they bottle it so you can buy it.
I doubt they are going to throw anyone out.

Have to disagree... We've found the best in Kansas.
