Default Eaton's Beach... $5 draft beer

We visited Eaton's Beach yesterday to chat and have a few beers. I was very surprised to find out they charge $5 for a draft beer. This was downstairs. There were very few people there. I am guessing things have changed.

$5 for a 16 Oz beer is highway robbery.

It's actually the same thing you pay at RJ Gators. They tout the "bogo" but jack the price up. It's about $5 with tax, and I've measured the mug. It's only 8 oz per mug. The pitcher is a much better deal where you get about 7-8 mugs for $9.

Exactly. $5 is not bad at all, and what you'd pay at just about any place other than the "specials" here in The Villages.

Oh, I'm not saying that $5 is not a bad deal for 16 oz of beer. It's a terrible deal compared to dozens of places in TV. I'm simply pointing out that some places tout "BOGO" but they jack up the price so much that's it's not a good deal.
Most places around TV, $2.50 per pint for domestic is the going rate.

Wow! That IS a good deal at $2.50!! Since I'm new here, could you shoot out a list of maybe 6-8 places I can go enjoy those $2.50 drafts?? And what hours/limits do those prices have? Or are they all-day, regular, non-Happy Hour prices? This will help build my go-to list of places for beer! Thks!

The town squares during happy hour, Gators Dockside, Cody's, Amerikanos is $3 during happy hour, Hacienda, The Pub, Sonny's, Arnold Palmer, McCall's, just to name a few. A few of these are actually cheaper than that but you can do your own homework on hours, they are all in the phone book.

I just bought a case of Yuengling yesterday for $19.99.
That come out to around $1.12 for 16 oz., which I can enjoy on my lanai.
If I want to go to a nice place; Eaton's Beach (for example) I guess it is only fair that I pay for part of the utilities, taxes maintainence, etc.
If you can afford to drive Eaton's Beach....you can afford to pay their prices.

I have heard of Villagers baring it all, thus the drink called, " sex on the square"...
