Default Evergreen Menu

The admiral picked up a copy of the new menu @ the Evergreen -

They will have whole fried or steamed fish--if they do it right , I'll be a frequent flier

They indicate they will have a full bar--the kicker is & I hope I'm right--have never had a good drink @ a chinese restaurant, except for beer

I will miss the buffet. Easy in easy out and good food. Hate having to make a production if I'm hungry.

Never do buffets, sanitation and don't like eating as if I'm in an enlisted chow line

I suppose I'll always remain unsophisticated.

Nothing wrong with the enlisted chow line! Especially when ready to eat

What is "fired" fish? They were recently closed down for unsanitary conditions, presumably in their kitchen, so your buffet sanitary issue only applies to patrons coughing and sneezing on the food you are going to eat. Why would you think that just because they no longer offer a buffet, that their unsanitary food preparation and food storage and cleanliness issues would be a thing of the past?

Never been there before--just looking for a few specialty items. They must know the inspectors will be hovering and its in their best interest to get a good report card.

They weren't closed...

They closed because it's hard for a buffet to pass the health code.

It just wasn't worth the hassle!

That being said... I was told the Fire Department and Health Department actually ate there and liked it.

We ate there last night.. The food was good! I won't do a review as to what we ate... but we all enjoyed the meal and will absolutely go back!!!

Default Evergreen Menu

The Villages Florida

First report. So far so good. Rated A
As long as they don't kill the cats which are eating the roaches it's all good.

We had dinner there last night. We liked the buffet, but always said we needed a really good sit down Asian restaurant. The remodel is beautiful. Food was very good. Even though they only opened the day before, things went very well. We will be back and wish them the best!

We always keep to their Colony Rest. Fact of the matter is, restaurants get most of their bugs in their delivery of their paper goods, such as their bags and containers which is really gross and if you stopped and thought about it (one would never ever eat out). As a matter of fact I told hubby last night ,the next time I find a Palmetto bug in the house I'm shutting down the KITCHEN, seems fair.

Hi, how does anyone get a new food inspection report?
But giving credit where due.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Thai restaurant in the Sumter Landing area was great!
Arnold Palmer had pork chops and Salmon that was amazingly good.
Taco Bar at Evan Prairie was great, so is it no more? If so, quite a loss of a great dinner.

Four of us ate there last night. While the place looked really nice, and the service was adequate, we weren't overly impressed with the food. The hot and sour soup was not particularly spicy and all of our dinners were very bland. One of our platters of sesame chicken had waited too long for pickup and was tepid when it reached the table. The other was hot only because they hadn't realized we wanted two sesame chicken dinners, so one came later. There were way too few tiny broccoli florets (4) served with each dinner and it was just fried chicken with sesame seeds and sauce thrown over the top. (I am used to picking out strips of red pepper before diving in to a flavorful meal!) Our friends concurred that their meals were also pretty tasteless. Overall, a disappointing experience, as we had hoped to find an Oriental restaurant with really good food.
