No that was a tuffet.

I thought crumpet's went with tea. I am so uninformed and have such an unsophisticated palate. But my grandchildren love me and they are all employed gainfully.
I keep thinking of that song.....McDonalds is my kind of place, hamburgers in your face, french fries between your toes,,,,ect ect

DBussone never, well hardly ever says anything that people disagree with. I grew up with German coffee cake and coffee, but I like tea too.

Every one of my children and my grandchildren worked at McDonalds and made minimum wage when they were in school. I am always pleased to see people working ANYWHERE and I happen to love McDonalds and I think their uniform is a badge of honor.

I still LOVE a quarter pounder with cheese every now and then and today we stopped and had a hot fudge sundae after we picked out our pretty annuals.

I respect your opinion on food Bonnie. You are not only a good cook but a good evaluator of The Villages Restaurants.

Bonny - what restaurants make your top ten list? I'd like to make sure I have tried them all since you have such great taste! I enjoy your comments about our food establishments.

I think Tal is enjoying the play on words that sounds like this is an English Pub a few hundred years back.

The foods very good and the bar selection was above average ,when they first opened

Now there is zero food that fits our tastes

But to use the term "GREAT" is a reach, or your definition of great & mine are on totally different levels.

Great IMHO is unique, prepared and served way above average.

We can agree to disagree. I will continue to frequent Honest John's Whiskey and Provisions and you can go to the restaurants that suit you taste. There is no shortage of restaurants around here!

Default Honest John's

[QUOTE=Chatbrat;1208449]Was planning on going to Honest John's. Looks like they did away with some unique items, By doing this they have lost their identity. Now they're the same as RJ Gators, Gators Dockside, and other fast fry joints.

Was there last night for dinner with friends from out of town. Place wasn't busy, worst server & food to boot. 45 minutes for the food to come out. Caesar salad had no shaved parm & the lettuce was warm. Chicken was like rubber. Hot steak sandwich was cold. Server came & wanted to replace everything, if that it took 45 minutes to get that order...forget about this place. The manager came over when we were ready to leave & took care of the bill. She came over too late.
