Harbor Lights on Lake Panasoffkee has a nice buffet, especially on the weekends.
Alfies on 25 is a good place.

I STRONGLY agree about the Chef's of Napoli being bad.

Chef's of Napoli
The food is terrible. Their bread is very good.

Best Chinese in area is the yummy house ocala. We also like the Braised Onion Ocala and Mesa del Note Ocala. Sky Fusion is also good along with Harrys. Snowbird season we tend to eat away from the campus. However we do enjoy many of the restaurants here also.

Ocean Prime in Orlando. Bring your piggybank, but best food I've had in Central Florida. Steaks are outstanding and perfectly cooked. Service is fantastic--large restaurant that was nearly full, but plenty of staff. Only 50-55 min away.

I agree to disagree.
I ate at Chef's of Napoli last Thursday and has a dish called "pscatore". Seaford, (clams, mussels, calamari over linguine with either a red sauce or white. We also shared an appetizer of calamari and mozzarella sticks that were lightly breaded. We broke down and had desserts of tiramisu, Italian ice cream and cheesecake. It was delicious. BTW - I am of Italian descent.

Terry's Place in Ocala. Very simple and not fancy. Best Burgers anywhere. They make their own Buns daily and use Angus beef. Absolutely huge and delicious. Burger is $6.99 and an order of fries is a few bucks and enough too feed 2. Went there on a Wednesday and the special a 1/2 Philly Cheessteak (half was as big as most full) and fries was $6.99. Daily lunch specials. Steak dinners around $14.99. If you are looking for atmosphere search on, but for some great food give it a try.
