Woody's is open again
Saw the ad in the Sun and went to Woody's in Wildwood this evening for supper. It's re-opened with new ownership. The restaurant has been cleaned and repainted and has more seating. New menus and prices are a little higher, but that's no surprise.
Dinner was very good. Service excellent. We'll be back. Also, get on their mailing list and get a $5. coupon.

Update on Woody's
Quote:
The restaurant was less than half full. It was a good 15 minutes before the Server got around to taking our drink orders and another 10-15 minutes for them to be served. Nobody ordered anything special or difficult but it took 45 minutes after our order was taken for our food to come out of the kitchen. The food was mediocre at best---I heard some complaining about the food could have been warmer but nobody sent any back----mine was okay. Prices are reasonable. It was almost 7:30 by the time we got our checks straighten out, payed and out of there. I don't like to be critical or negative but clearly there is a problem. When we left, the restaurant was a third full. No crowds---this time of year makes you wonder. Maybe it's location---although it's easy to find and not far outside of TV.

Went a few Fridays ago and they allowed a so called service dog sit at the booth(on seat) with the owners. Hope you didn't get that booth. The dog belonged on the floor regardless of what papers he had. Think theres much better options for the same elsewhere.

A restaurant you can't get to by golf cart is not gonna be crowded.

Have to disagree. Depends on the restaurant. We have been to Oakwood, a couple of times recently, on weeknights, not weekend. We have been as early as 4:30 and STILL had to wait for a table.

Oakwood exception
Oakwood is an exception---may be others.

Inexperienced owners/management
Just wonder how much restaurant experience they have?

"hope you didn't get the dog booth"! Heck, I thought that was my buddy who sweats so much.

We went there the other night. Service was friendly and prompt and the ribs were to die for. I think they are doing a great job!

a measure of whether a restaurant neaby is busy or not is certainly not whether it is accesible by golf cart!!
If that were were a guideline, how far does one consider impacted by the lack of the golf cart crowd? Remember, TV residents are only a part of the establishment outside TV. |
