From the link, it appears to be a light fare or brunch type restaurant open during daytime and run out of a house on main street (US 301) in Wildwood. For some reason they are closing, I haven't seen the ad in the newspaper. Maybe it's because of lack of business as witness by the responses above, seems most are now aware of it's existence. If the OP would include additional information rather than a vague statement, maybe more people would be concerned.

Not fake news, I saw the show on the local news with interview of the owners. It appears there is/was a problem with their visa, and they were given until May 2nd to leave the USA. They stated on the news show there were apparently no possible appears either.

Their E2 business Visa expired and was not renewed. It's a special kind of visa granted to anyone who will invest in/start a new business in the US and manage it. They are good for 2 or 5 years. Hard to say why it was not renewed but one of the criterion for renewal is the number of people the business employs. You can see some details on the Polly's Pantry Facebook page. It doesn't sound (at least on TOTV) that they had a lot of business. Has anyone on this site eaten there? What was their specialty---if they had one?

We've been there once or twice for lunch. Food was good... quiche, sandwiches, soups... that sort of stuff. Place was packed, but it is not very big. Couldn't get in without making a reservation a day or two ahead. Ambience and service was good too.

It's an English tea room. You need to make a reservation (typical of any tea room) for lunch or high tea. It's always full and even a bit crowded--elbow-room-wise. English tea rooms are fun for the average American once in a while and I love them. Sorry to see it go.

What a shame. This little tea room was always a favorite with our ladies group and as a special place to go when you needed a "lift" in spirit. The nicest people, and she had written several books and gave talks at various club meetings about growing up in London as a child and memories of the war, etc.
