Their coronation chicken salad (special of the house) was great.

The US immigration/visa policy has run amuck.

It's a wonderful place and a refreshing change of pace compared to what we have around here. Loved the ambiance and the food and service was always good. So very sad to see it go. It sucks their Visas were not renewed!

Their Visa required them to employ two people. They employed none so the special visa was canceled. They knew the rules when they requested the special visa.

I'm not sure why the state is in the middle of this. It should be Homeland Security. Don't be too surprised if some of your neighbors from Canada, GB, etc., who never go home, aren't next. Many people come here on a tourist visa and never go home.

Always crowded when we went and large groups had to make reservation far in advance. Good food. If you haven't been there you missed a nice experience. Lovely couple ran it.

I am aware of another British family, who ran a prominent business in TV and who have recently had the same problem and have been ordered to go.

Am sympathetic to our Brit friends and I don't know all the issues. But, it appears that they have not lived up to there part of the Visa conditions.

Ya know, it doesn't matter how "nice" anyone is. If I were living in a foreign country, I'd be very careful to comply with the laws of the land. Why does anyone think they are above the law?

The case I cited occurred under Pres O not Pres T.
I imagine that this was normal administrative follow up, not part of the newly instigated process. (just trying to be fair)

Their IRS forms did not show their employing two people, raising a red flag. It could have been a "deportation-wish" on their part.

Correct. It was likely that their tax forms showed they were not employing two people as required by their Special Visas.

How? Didn't the immigration employees do what we employed them to do? If the outcome was wrong then congress has to change the laws.
