Does that seem right?

I haven't been to Bone Fish. I had a couple of very good meals at Legacy. I found the room very loud.
Is Bone Fish loud?
It could also be OES [older ear syndrome].

I enjoyed the Cotillion too. It's something a little different, charming and feels more southern. I don't think you will be disappointed. I'm not a dessert person but those that are rave about their desserts. [not as loud to me either--not the raves, the room]
Yes, it can get loud. The one thing we love about Bonefish is the free bread at the bar with pesto & oil dip. Add the Bang Bang Shrimp, nice inexpensive meal. They also have a great happy hour !!
I think a lot of the high end restaurants have added a nice happy hour with specials. It definitely attracts more people.
We are not big meal eaters anymore. If I get a full meal 1/2 - 2/3 is going home with me. Love it when I have left over filet and mashed potatoes.

We also did Bern's Steak House in Tampa for a special anniversary celebration and have never enjoyed a better special occasion dinner. Tremendous is how I'd describe it from the valet parking thru the separate Harry Waugh Dessert Room. As it was our 1st time there our waiter arranged for a kitchen tour for the 4 of us also. We look forward to celebrating many more special occasions just so we can return there. Wait today is Oct. 4th...that sounds like a special occasion to me
Skip 2

P.S. You definitely need reservations and we also stayed overnight and went to the Tampa aquarium the next day that was well worth the adventure. Even stopped at the Hard Rock on the way home cause we hadn't spent enough money.....

Never been to Bonefish, but thanks for the menu, Tom. I have no idea why our sales agent 2 years ago told us it was ultra expensive---looks pretty average to me.

The food is better than found in most TV eateries. And they take reservations which is a plus.

No need to. The only issue I have with Bone Fish is that it can be quite noisy.

Yes, Bonefish was real noisy the last time we ate there. As I mentioned before, Howey-In-The Hills @ Mission Inn for some quite dining and reasonable prices for "white tablecloth". My wife and I both recommend. BTW. Congratulations, OP, and enjoy your evening what ever the restaurant.

The Bonefish--is part of the Carrabas & Outback Corp--they cater to the masses-food is Ok--nothing to get nuts over

Back in 95-the original Bone was in St Pete-that was a Bone of another breed-when the owner died in a boating incident--Outback acquired the bone
In 95 we lived in the Tampa/StPete neighborhood--thats why I kinda remember Bern's as in St.Pete

You are quite correct about the Mission Inn restaurant.

Is this a different Bern's ? The Bern's Steakhouse that most of us know is in Tampa.

Bonny - you are correct about Bern's being in Tampa. And I do not believe it has been anywhere else. My wife and I started going there in 1991 when we moved to Tampa.

According to the Bern's website, Bern started a luncheonette in Tampa in 1953. As their business grew they eventually bought some property on South Howard Ave in Tampa. That location remains the current location of Bern's although it was expanded several times, until 1985. It has essentially remained the same since then.

It was the Same Bern's- I really don't differentiate between Tamp & St.Pete- both crowded & wacky traffic-used to go to the commissary @ McDills, when we felt it was worth the trip
