Your best bet is to call the country clubs and ask what they are doing . Harbor Lights in Lake Panasoffkee is open, but its a buffet.

Thanks. All country clubs I've called require minimum of 6-8 people?? What about smaller groups of 2-3?

Hey, is everything ok with you? I see your man out and about, but no sign of your pretty smile. I hope all is well with you .
Oh yea, in my humble opinion, for the cost, cody's has the best food in lake Sumter.

While it is a buffet, it is a very good one at Amelia's at The Waterfront Inn. We made our reservations yesterday for a party of 3 with no problem.

Cody's Thanksgiving dinner was very good last year.

I would go again but was invited to a home cooked turkey this year.

We have reservations for 4 at McCleod House Bistro in Inverness. We have been there several times and the quality is fantastic. They are doing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner (per my wife) so we booked it. This is not a Villages pricing model. It is small so suggest if you want an adventure you should book quickly if there is an interest.

We normally spend Thanksgiving with a large group of friends, however my elderly mother just moved here and doesn't do well with crowds. Hubby and I will be taking her and another widowed neighbor out to dinner.

If there are any others taking their elderly parent to dinner, and would like to join us, pm me.

We did Cody's in Brownwood last Thanksgiving. Would never do again. I am thinking they where over whelmed. To say the food was horrible is some what of an understatement.

Turner's in Leesburg is also doing a Thanksgiving meal. Not sure of the details, but they are taking reservations (they don't usually). And they won't seat more than six at a table, so for sure your reservations could be for 2-3.

PS: some of the Juliets have been doing Weds. lunch at Cody's. They have just put out a new menu--with raised prices. The food was not good.
