Default Is anyone else watching the Woman's World Cup?

We beat Australia in our opener. It's on Fox 1.
I have a personal interest because one of the players [Carli Lloyd] was a student when I was the HS media specialist and I know her and boyfriend who was on my golf team. Carli is 32, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and scored the gold medal-winning goals in the finals of both the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics.

I watched some of the USA vs. Australia game as well as some of Nigeria vs. Sweden. The USA vs. Nigeria should be interesting. 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup - U.S. Soccer

Love the World Cup Women's Soccer. They were sluggish in the 1st half but came alive when it counted. Should be a great cup. Carli is awesome.

Always good to win, but they will need to play much better to have any medal chance. Only two players had a good game, but that was enough against an injured Aussie team. Solo was amazing in the first half when the score easily could have been 4-1 by halftime.

We are ranked number 2, right behind Germany. When you think of soccer countries you think of Europe and South America. The last team to win the World Cup was from Japan. Today they are ranked number 3.

June 12, 2015 8 PM ET WNT vs Sweden Winnipeg Stadium; Winnipeg, Canada FOX, NBC Universo
June 16, 2015 8 PM ET WNT vs Nigeria BC Place; Vancouver, Canada

Does anyone know if their is a sports bar that would do the event? I'm going to bike over to Brownwood and check out their tv screens. If there is a good place to watch and they will put it on I will post it.

Our son is here and we have been watching. The USA's performance against Sweden was very disappointing given all the hype surrounding the match. We are enjoying many of the games but we are certainly rooting hard for the USA.

Love SOCCER, hence my handle. My son played in Europe before college. Check Gators Dockside, they may show games on BIG SCREENS.

I had a hard time finding the USA-Sweden game online.

I have another house in NJ with Xfinity so I could get Fox 1 but not Fox 2 [or it may be the other way around]. Anyway, I could watch the first US game with fox but not the second.

I ended up watching with German commentators online. It was better than not watching at all.

I was also looking for US to easily beat Sweden. I think their coach [our old coach] made some comments about our players that was a bit unprofessional, a cheap shot.

new info---I took Soccercoaches advice and just called Gator's Dockside in Brownwood. They said they have 30 TV's and would be happy to put it on. Tuesday 17:00 Vancouver Time the US vs Nigeria.

Does anyone know where I can get a live feed for the game tonight [tuesday]? I don't have cable TV and I guess I could sit in a bar but if no one else is going I'm not so sure that's what I want to do either.

I have cable up north and I can watch Fox Sports 2 remotely down here but Fox has at least one other sports station and I can't get that remotely for free.

I found a stream to watch US play Sweden but it was announced in German and was hard to find.

I think i have a stream from NBC but it's in Spanish.

1-0 over Nigeria and played the last several minutes with a player up advantage. US needs to get more offensive firepower. Too many missed opportunities, give aways, and miscommunications. The defense has been excellent, marked well, cleared well, Solid.
Next game should be easy, then into the quarter finals where we will need to play better.

Great game! Is there any place folks are watching? Went to gators in brownwood Friday and there was only two others watching. Always more fun with a crowd.

I went to Gators last night 6/22 to watch the second half. There were a few people watching the game and 1 table had little US flags.

We won 2-0 and Carli LLoyd made a penalty kick. It's a little early to celebrate too hard. Because "the U.S. will have to play its quarterfinal match against China without two important midfielders, Megan Rapinoe and Lauren Holiday, both of whom picked up their second yellow cards of the tournament Monday, which bring automatic suspensions."

Germany or France if they get past China. Will be a real hurdle.
