Thanks for the Post. I was just working on one myself. Last February when we did our last winter drive we were able to collect 30 GALLONS that's Gallons not Pints.. We're hoping to at least tie that this year again. FYI all Double Red Donors will get 2 movie tickets.

I was trying to plan my donations for the next few months and spotted "Blood Donors in Parrotise". Good luck with this drive. I am doing platelets so I have to go see my gang at the Villages One Blood facility every two-to-three weeks.

Some of those One Blood phlebotomists should have been comedians. They crack me up with their sometimes antics. And they usually do these when I have a needle in each arm and cannot move at all.

I have a platelet donation on Wed, the 4th. I only donate whole blood when they tell me to for lowering my iron counts. They need the platelets too bad to not donate.

I have seven platelet donations set up from mid-January through late March of 2017.

They have their platelet donor $20, $40 and $60 gift cards program on again for the months of January through March. You have to donate platelets 4, 5 or 6 times to get this.

I hope to get the $60 gift card program reward by making 6 donations of platelets over those three months.

I like the t-shirts and stuff at the Donors in Parrotise Blood Drive. They have had pretty good hot dogs and hamburgers too the times I have been there. And you can meet the firemen if you want to which seems to be a draw for some women.

Do you tell the staff at Oneblood that you donated at another location so they can add it to your annual donations?

It is a One Blood blood drive. They have a record of it.

I did donate a few times in Tampa and Marion County at Florida Blood Services and Life South after I started donating at One Blood (then Florida Blood Centers) in 2007.

I kept track of when I had donated and the like so I would not endanger my health.

Having some trouble logging onto One Blood to check all this. That's a bummer.

Don't forget we only need about 1 hour of your time. Walk ins are always welcome. You will receive at least 1 movie ticket, a Cody's discount coupon, hot dog and snacks. Besides that your one donation will help save lives. Hope to see you there. I've got my arm out, do you ?

Thanking you in advance. Skip Blood Drive Chairperson

All set for Thursday. One Blood's web-site is working again after I e-mailed them about my problem accessing my account.

Hope you get a good turn-out on Thursday.

They do make some glaring mistakes. I hope that does not hurt your drive's turnout. You guys should demand a retraction from the Villages Daily Sun that comes out tomorrow.
