Default Bryce Canyon

I will be in Las Vegas on march 20 2018. Was thinking of driving over to Bryce and Zion. Have never been. Any suggestions, warnings? Are the roads an easy drive? Thanks

Our family visited both parks many years ago during the summer. They are both beautiful although Bryce was my favorite. I don't recall any problems driving and apparently you are going at a lesser traveled time of year. You might try Googling both parks for information if you don't get any responses that will help.

If you want to stay in the parks (which I strongly suggest) you need to make your reservations now. Zion you probably could stay outside the park but the options around Bryce are minimal. Bryce is my favorite. If you have the time make sure you do the horseback riding into the canyon.

If you're going to go to the Grand Canyon during the same trip, I highly suggest you go there first before you go to Bryce and Zion. I just felt like the Grand Canyon was a let down after I saw The beauty of Bryce! The roads seem to be very easy to navigate overall compared to the Grand Canyon! Plan to stay somewhere nearby and see a sunrise there which I never got to do! It is on my bucket list to go back there! Bryce canyon was my favorite out of the two!

We had an RV and stayed at a place between the two. We went to Bryce in the morning, then Zion. I agree Bryce is more impressive. There is an overlook at or near the end of the park road where I remember thinking I could see the end of the earth.

The town of Kanab is a wonderful base. Equidistant from the North Rim, Zion and Bryce

Both are worth it if you have the time, but I would choose Bryce...if you can only do one.
