Default Oasis of The Seas Questions

If you have taken this ship out of Port Canaveral would you share with me what time you arrived at the ship for departure and how it worked out for boarding purposes.

Also, if you have any other tips you would like to share, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

We have been on the Oasis many times out of Miami...You will love the ship and the shows....

We have been thru Port Canaveral as well many times, Disney, Carnival Magic ect.
Port Canaveral is a mess getting in, one road leads to all ships. Its a mess with congestion and all people trying to get to there 3 different ships and loading areas all leaving the same time.

Its extreme frustration and a horrible way to start on a relazing cruise,

so either leave early or get there later, that would be my best advice. Stay away from the 11am-1:00pm time frame.

Have a blast...

The Royal Caribbean terminal is not with the others. Very easy to pull in drop your luggage in the bottom floor of the garage. Then park in the garage.
Get there anytime after 10:30 am very smooth process in a new terminal. Others will tell you about parking off site we have done it all. Just park in the garage.

Port Canaveral

We sailed Oasis of The Seas out of Port Canaveral in February. As the previous posters mention, the arrival and departure area is a nightmare. Thousands of people arriving and departing at the same time, in the same exact place. There is lineup of cars, vans and buses in virtually one slow lane. Then to face the long lines checking in. Getting off the ship, going through Customs is also a long, long process.

If we had to do this all over again, we would park in the terminal garage, not off-site. (We found many hotels in the area have discounted parking for the terminal garage if you stay the night before in their hotel.)

Getting off the ship, hire a porter to valet you. The $10-20 you spend on the valet will save you time getting out. When we were there, the special lines for porters had three customs employees versus four customs employees for everyone else.

Leaving, it took us over an hour to get through customs and another hour waiting for our off-site parking van (which we could see in the long waiting line) to get to us to pick us up and take us to the off-site parking lot.

We both love cruising. My husband likes the variety of activities available on these large megaships. I am less a fan and prefer smaller ships. This one, in particular, is an ordeal getting on and getting off. Good luck!

We sailed Oasis and had no problems with arriving, parking of which we"ve done both the terminal parking garage as well as off site. We try to get there between 11:00 & 11:30. Usually on board and eating lunch by 12 - 12:30. Ship is huge but very user friendly. Have a wonderful time.

Have sailed on the Oasis three times from Canaveral. Got there between 11 and noon. Dropped off passengers and bags right at ship. Went right across the street to park. Easy , no traffic, minimal waiting anywhere.
Oh , and it's a fantastic ship as is it's sister ship , The Allure.

Park at terminal as others mention. Also, make all your port of call reservations ahead and also your shows etc. on the ship. You can get shutout of some of the things you want to see if you don't.
