Default Accident on Baily Trail

Does anyone know what happened on Bailey Trail this morning? The road was closed and everyone had to go down Morse Blvd. I did see alot of flashing lights and an EMT truck.

Before passing Cane Garden, and turning around, I saw community watch tending to a man laying on his back in the center of the street.

According to The Villages 0n-line news, a passenger in a golf cart was transported to the Ocala Regional Medical Center after the golf cart collided with a truck. The driver of the golf cart was transported to TV hospital.

Yet another reason to have seat-belts installed on your golf-cart. My husband was involved in a serious accident in March. A car hit him in his golf-cart and sent him to Ocala Regional Trauma Center. Dan ended up with 5 surgeries 13 days in the hospital, and may not be here today if didn't have the seat-belts in the cart!!!

It's more about being careful and watching what's going on around you. Hope all is well with all involved, but golf cart vs. truck, guess what. I have seen too many people on golf carts take chances they should not. Just realize you have to be aware, slow down and look, look, look.....

Seat Belts should be mandatory but are not to date. We have 2 carts and a month ago had seat belts installed in both. AAA golf carts can install belts in any cart with any of the standard or Ultimate seats. Highly recommended.

My husband was NOT taking any chances. He was driving in the golf-cart lane on Morse and the car just made a quick turn into San Marino hitting him!

Sounds like it could be the people in Kitty Gilchrist's thread.

That San Marino/Morse intersection is very dangerous, especially to golf carts going south.

Bailey Trail traffic drives way too fast & that goes for golf carts too. I live right there and speeding is a problem. In season, I cannot get out onto BT due to the amount of traffic. I hope the persons involved are not seriously hurt.

Yes, I have seat belts!

I have had a few cars cut me off there. They realize that if I get in front of them on San Marino there is no golf cart path (no safe way to pass,) so they floor it on Morse. Inconsiderate ___blanks____!
