Default average price to paint?

Today dad told me a contractor in the villages gave him a price to paint his stucco gardenia of $3400. Seems high? Anyone have any knowledge of this?

We second the recommendation for Investment painters. They did our Iris interior in a day and did a super job of painting AND cleanup. Had them do my garage floor later. Another quality job.

My neighbors had Omar do what I think is a lot more work for a much lower cost. Get some more estimates, and check out Omar's, they were very happy with their work.

We had received a quote of $3200 to paint our stucco Designer. Yikes! Wife and I decided we could paint it ourselves.

We did.

Paint cost: $230.
Labor: a little sweat.
Looks fabulous.

I was just told by a decorator last week that when we hire a painter, whoever it might be, they should apply 2 coats and not one right after the other. They should paint, let it dry, then paint the second coat. Perhaps that is the difference in prices?
