We use the same route as jpvillager. 141 miles from our door to the Georgia line, and 2 hours and 45 minutes. Time after time.

Drove it three times in October 2015.

"every 2-3 miles" or so south of I-10 if you obey the speed limits posted.

That's the route we always use. We find the drive relaxing through the Ocala Forest.
