Default Birds and butterflies

I'm mystified - until this week, my garden was very active with nesting bluebirds and butterflies. Suddenly they're nowhere to be seen. Any insight as to why they've abandoned my established, healthy garden?

A hawk, owl or other predator may be in the area...happens often.

wish I had bluebirds in my backyard. I have plenty of blackbirds and mockingbirds. Plus I do get many gulf fritillary butterflies on my passionflower plant but I think the geckos eat the baby caterpillars. Circle of life.
