Rocky and the Rollers are, as always, fantastic.....I must say we have noticed that Brownwood, out of all the 3 squares, has the most of out of the Villages people there..probably cause of the movie theatre but we prefer Lake Sumter Landing....

How can you tell that Brownwood "has the most of out of the Villages people"? What are the telltale signs?

I would think the location of Paddock Square being so close to SR44 would bring in lots of visitors from the trailer parks and from the town of Wildwood.

Lake Sumter Landing is more in the middle of The Villages so there are most likely fewer visitors from outside.

Spanish Square draws visitors from Lady Lake, Recreation Plantation, and other places on that side.

All are welcome.

Hey, I have seen plenty of the #6's on the town squares at Lake Sumter Landing and Spanish Springs. Amazing what the Village ladies find on sale at Anthony's, isn't it? (I can't find the smiley)

I noticed a difference when I visited. I thought Brownwood might be where they were lodging visitors. It had a different vibe.

"From trailer parks".............not so subtle implication!

Very incorrect as well on many levels.

Implicating what? That there IS a trailer park not too far from Brownwood? I don't get it?

I think Brownwood holds more people than the other two squares, although ALL squares are crowded (with both Villagers and non-Villagers) when Rocky and the Rollers, Scooter, and other certain acts are performing.

The non Villagers are the ones laughing at the line dancers.

Well quite honestly I believe the impetus for this discussion rests on one simple fact and that is what village resident's perception of what a village resident should look like....or not.

If that is correct and the basis then there are many people riding around in golf carts, in convertibles and walking in the town squares that are outsiders.

This perception solidified in conversation on TOTV is why people in the surrounding communities may harbor resentment toward village residents.

I abhor elitist or faux elitist I am an egalitarian and was taught to judge people individually.

The town squares are public . The like or dislike in my view primarily is based on on one views the town squares theme and secondly location. My preference is Key West and because it is closer.

I express an opinon and do not desire to invite argument
