Comcast is the worst
I live in the village of Caroline & my comcast internet service is the worst. What are my alternatives & what do other people have in the area for internet service that they are happy with? I have Directtv & They offer ATT internet service does any one use them & are you happy with the service?
Are there any other alternatives for internet service? Thanks |

I am amazed that Comcast gets this kind of review from the Village of Caroline, while here in Santiago, we have had no problems. (As CFrance says in a different post, KNOCK ON WOOD!). It makes one wonder what causes this huge difference in experience. Wiring? Gophers? I don't know; just sorry you are experiencing this. I Hope you find a good solution.

I'm in BonnyBrook. I've had Comcast here for for 12 years. Never had a problem with internet.

I just took a shot trying out CenturyLink. So far so good. They were offering a package with DirecTv. Very reasonable.

Have to agree, wee got suckered in by Comcast when we first moved here, was really ****ed when they charged us for installation in a brand new pre-wired house-kept them 6 weeks---total scam
Now use Centurylong for TV and Data--wireless with Verizon for everything else Comcast is for new suckers-who don't know any better, maybe that's why they are the exclusive venue for the Villages channel 2, just like the people who were suckered into the Villages Healthcare Network |

Comcast has been the topic of conversation on this forum on a continuum. I have had Comcast for 10 years now and I have had nothing but good service from them. Like insurance I hate to pay the bill but then I like my package

As with any service you have to know what you are signing up for. The $19.95 special may only be for 6 months. It is YOUR responsibility to know this and what it is going to cost you afterwards. I have found Comcast fairly easy to work with. Your probably better off in the long run by going in and getting a 2 year package rather than chasing the "special offers".

We had some problems with Comcast the first two years but they've been very good lately. No complaints.

I've had Comcast for a year now and I'm very happy with it. I live in Duniden and get 90 Mgb download and almost 13 upload. Like the package and have no problems downloading anything.

I do not do a lot of downloading, but we watch a lot of Netflix and stream baseball games with MLB TV. Maybe once in awhile there will be a pause, but not often. We will be running a couple of IPads connected at the same time.

Same here. I guess ChatBrat's definition of "sucker" means someone who pay's less and gets excellent service. We had Centurylink prior to Comcast, and got tired of constantly changing monthly bills, slow internet speed, and a DVR that required weekly reboots. We've had Comcast for close to two years, and this "sucker" couldn't be happier.
