Isn't that State Rt 44 and the south side? Which means the bowling alley wouldn't be golf cart accessible and outside of TV.

I was talking to the manager for the restaurant side of Fiesta Bowl Friday afternoon. He told me there are no current plans for a bowling alley at Brownwood. He said they would need about 24 acres to build a bowling alley because of the parking lots. The impact fees for the state of Florida, according to this man, would be over $800,000. That doesn't include any other costs. He also said the bowling alley that is being built is owned by a man named Patel (sp?)who owns one of the hotels. I can't remember which hotel.

24 acres?? That's over a million square feet!!

Cowboys stadium in Dallas covers approx. 73 acres. Doubt that a single bowling alley w/parking would take up about a third as much as that monstrous facility.

Is bowling this popular in TV, to support a third alley?

That $800,000 in impact fees seems a tad high also.

A third bowling facility will fill up just like the two existing places.

When you go on the trolley tour they say the #1 sport in the villages is bowling. It's always seemed hard to believe when you think of golf and all but that's what they say!

I too remember that. I don't know what "funny math" they use to come to the conclusion that more TV residents bowl than play golf but it just ain't so.
