The contractor for this job is DAB construction. The same contractor who did the infamous never-ending widening of 441/27. 466a still needs to have the final coat of asphalt applied, and then final lane marking painting done. So, we can all anticipate more times of lane closures and mess on this "completed" road.

Drove down 466a toady even though it said closed but it was open. What a joke. Lots left to do after 1 1/2 years. Side walks not finished in many areas. Road paving needed in some area. Barrels in several area. Looks like another year or so of work based on their previous track record. Hard to believe.

I'm so happy it's open, no matter how long it takes for the final touches. I appreciate it three times a week when running the pooch up to DDRR. It's much more direct to 301 than taking 462, and no trains.

That's ONE of the things I like about you. YOUR glass is at least half full.

I am always amazed at how quickly TV moves in building and construction contracting. It is not a perfect science. I come from Staten Island NY and they have been working on the expressway for 13 years and it is still not completed. I agree that a construction project should have a beginning and a realistic end with a little buffer time to allot for the unexpected...After living in TV for less than 3 week,s as a frog, I see how this project directly effects movement and travel. I also have been advised that during winter months (high season) travel is especially difficult. I have no knowledge of the original plans or completion time.. all I can say is that it is far worse in different areas on the country.. of course that is why we are living in the best place anyone could possibly retire.. One of the worst road jobs I have seen. I think they forced it open to possibly avoid contract penalties.
