Default did anyone go to HomeGoods?

I swore that I wouldn't go until they had been open for a couple of weeks....but, somehow I found myself there about 6pm tonight.

It is like a dream come true! A HomeGoods less than 50 minutes away!!! I am so excited!

I didn't need anything, I just had to check it out and see if it was as good as I had built it up in my mind.....AND IT WAS!!!

They were very well staffed, which is good, because it was very crowed with lots of "ohhs and aahs". When I got to the registers there was no line. I think the serious buyers were there early.

I didn't even wander over into Marshall's. I will save that for a few weeks. Now if we can just get that Costco and Trader Joe's.......

I'm glad you went dotti....we'll probably visit this weekend. Nice to have one of my favorite stores "in the neighborhood!"

We drove over and saw that the entire Beall's parking lot was full including cars parked along the perimeter road in the rear. We drove back out and went home. It'll be there next week.

There is nothing for me to want to go stand in a line or put up with crowds.

We also swore we wouldn't go there for a while but the temptation was too great. So after a doc appt, we headed over, found a parking spot in no time, and walked right in. Sure there were people all over, but nothing more than you would see in a mall on a weekend during the Christmas season. We found a few things and headed out before we spent all our kids inheritance. LOL. I was looking for some bathroom towels also and wish they had more of a selection, but the girl said they get a truck in every other day. Something to look forward to!

My friend and I went to the Stein Mart opening day, and I said never again! Glad to hear register lines weren't bad in the afternoon. Plan on going over soonest, as their stores are great!

Dotti -- thanks for letting us know the Home Goods Store is open.
I've never been inside a Home Goods Store, so I'm excited to see it.
It's about ten minutes by golf cart from our doorstep, yay.
I don't like crowds so I'll wait for a week or two for the crowds to dissipate.

Default Hi Dotti

I'm such a sucker for that store so did a drive-by that developed into a "stop and shop" that resulted in a silly purchase for my already spoiled dog whose job is, to demolish any new toy that comes into the house. Line was long but moved very fast. Love, love, love that store!

We went this afternoon and somehow found a parking spot up front...pure luck!! It was crowded and my wife managed to put a dent in my wallet, but I will live to fight another day.

Is Home Goods similar to Bed, Bath & Beyond?

Both HomeGoods and Marshalls were fully stocked with beautiful inventory....Parking lot was packed, as was the store...but glad I stayed and shopped, for I only stood in line to pay for about 10-12 minutes. Very well organized...with staff guiding shoppers to avoid any confusion.

IMHO - Better because of reasonable pricing. BBB makes you pay top dollar.

I visited HomeGoods today - just couldn't wait.
I was curious to see the type of merchandise they offered.
I didn't buy anything but the lines were moving briskly, very organized.

so Bare, what was your impression of "HomeGoods"?

It is kind of hard to compare with "Bed, Bath and Beyond", in my opinion. More Decor and furnishings, but lots of the basics too. IMHO.
