The Villages Home Owners Association presents a FREE Community Electronic Recycling Event Saturday, FEBRUARY 20, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please bring all items to the drop off area in the parking lot of Winn Dixie at Lake Sumter Landing ¥ Video Game Systems/Consoles, Controllers ¥ Camera (Photo/Video Equipment) ¥ Network Equipment (Routers, Modems, etc.) ¥ Digital TV Boxes (Tivo, Direct TV, etc.) ¥ Stereo Systems (Speakers, Amplifiers, etc.) ¥ Radios, Tape Players ¥ VCR’s, DVD Players, Blu-Ray Players ¥ Musical Equipment (Guitar/Bass Amplifiers & Effects, etc.) ¥ All types of Wire, Cables, Cords, Connectors & Adapters ¥ Microwaves, Small Household Appliances ¥ Commercial Equipment ¥ Fitness Equipment ¥ Batteries, Uninterrupted Supplies (Personal & Network) ¥ Flat Screen Monitors ¥ LCD & Plasma TV’s ¥ Computers (Desktop and Laptops) ¥ Computer Components (Mice, Keyboards, Speakers, External Drives, Cards, etc.) ¥ Main Frames, Servers, Docking Stations, Network Hubs ¥ Chargers for Laptop Computers & Digital Cameras ¥ Printers, Fax Machines, Scanners & Copiers ¥ Toner/Ink Cartridges (contained within equipment or unit) ¥ Telephones, Cell Phones & Desk Phones (and telecom equipment) ¥ CD, DVD’s & VHS/DAT/Beta Tapes ¥ MP3 Players, Ipods, etc. ¥ Electronic Circuit Boards and Components

We went to Best Buy today to drop off a computer tower and monitor. They took the tower but wanted $25 to recycle the monitor. They said it was their new policy to charge for TV's and monitors.

Good to know about Best Buy. We have an old all-in-one computer to dispose of. We were considering giving it to the Computer Club if someone wants to strip it out for parts.

The VHA is havin another electronic recycling event Feb 20th from 9 - 3 in the Winn-Dixie
parking lot at Lake Sumter.
