Default Fenny and eminent domain

Sumter County begins eminent domain process to make way for new Village of Fenney

Knew there would be more people removed from where there familys have lived for the past 85 years besides the ones we met on CR506.

Should of just made the home owners and offer $$$$ they couldn't refuse instead of just.......well you know...

It appears you misread the article. In the online news, it clearly states that eminent domain is being used to acquire easements to allow widening CR 468 to 4 lanes between Fenney and the turnpike overpass, which is already 4 lanes wide. It's not being used to force people out of homes.

The road will be widened between U.S. 301 and County Road 505 and the easement is sought from a property identified as Wildwood Ranch. A mobile home is located on part of the property.

not nit picking....but....

In regards to the 506 property....the entire homestead was taken to create a road to access fenny to 501.
