Default New Years Eve 2013

If you're looking for a great event, join us for the New Year's Eve party at La Hacienda rec center (sponsored by the Baby Boomers Club). The event will run from 7:30 pm til 12:30 pm. It is open to all Villagers and their guests. The band this year will be Yesterdaze. Tickets are $20.00 per person. One of the best deals going in The Villages!

For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Peg Scott at 352-751-6667 or by email at 'buglescott20@yahoo.com'.

Are there still tickets available? BabyBoomers had said they were just about sold out in a recent email.

manaboutown, I hope you will visit us soon! It was explained to me just as you suggest, in a pm by the OP, that the party is on NY Eve, thus 2013. I've always heard the new year celebrations referred to by the New Year being celebrated which means the party straddles both years...anyway, sounds like a great bash. If I ever get a 1st Thursday evening free, I'll become a single boomer!

Yes, tickets are still available. If you contact Peg, you will be able to pick out your table for the evening. Just to be clear, this is the Baby Boomers...not the Single Baby Boomers or Baby Boomers South.

Kitty, I am looking forward to again visiting TV. If my daughter returns to work this December I will burn some frequent flier miles to get there. I hope to meet you and other newbies as well as reconnect with 3cha and others I met on my previous visits.

I was the third person in line when tickets went on sale and got my table's worth of tickets. Looking forward to another great New Year's Eve party with the Baby Boomers. Too bad that Rocky and the Rollers were not available but Yesterdaze is a mighty good group, too.

Yes, it is BYOB...the rec centers won't allow the 'clubs' to provide any alcohol at any of their events. You are perfectly welcome to bring your own though. There will be snacks provided though. Get a group of friends together and celebrate without the hassle of all the prep and cleanup that follows. I think it ends up being much cheaper in the long run and more fun!

Great idea Doug. I can wheel one in too. I have a couple of hand trucks so lifting's no issue. LOL.
