There is the link...when I quote, but none before..???

Horrible and yet compelling to watch. You can't take your eyes away and at the end I was craning to see what was happening. Shingles on sided houses sure do melt fast. I am just like all of you and grateful people weren't hurt, but to see something happen like that is so chilling

This forum is amazing in it's ability to report what is happening in our town.

Seems the fire trucks got there quickly, but then it took way to long to get water on the fire.

Line was stretched, hydrant hooked up water on the fire within 1 minute of Engine 44s siren stopping. They made a good quick stop.

I had posted the cause in the original thread about the fire. My info came from a neighbor of the homeowners who also shot this video. Supposedly the investigation found that the battery on the gas golf cart overheated and caught fire.

Turn the gas off? More lines stretched? Faster interior attack with more personnel? SCBA and more safety equipment worn?

I don't understand your questions but by your avatar I know you are an expert. There isn't gas utilities in Hadley is all I can offer.

OK, that's what kept it from becoming "fully involved."

Do not believe that they had a battery charger since this was a gas golf cart.

We have a gas cart and sometimes my husband runs the battery tender on the battery but only after the cart cools off.

I would imagine damage was not limited to just the garage. I am sure they had to shoot water into the attic as well. Must be water and smoke damage thru out the whole house. What a shame. Thank goodness it wasnt durring the night while everyone was asleep.
I was impressed with the fire departments quick response and knocking that fire down very quickly and professionally .

Is it really necessary to put the golf cart in garage?
